Studio Policies

Minimum Session: 2 hours
Booking Notice: At least 1 hour ahead

Payment & Cancellations

A 50% deposit secures your session. The remaining balance is collected at session end, or you can choose to pay in full when booking.

Sessions that run over include a 15-minute grace period before overtime.

24+ hours before: full studio-price refund
6–24 hours before: 50% studio-price refund
Under 6 hours: no studio-price refund

The Session Route service fee is retained if an artist cancels or misses a confirmed session. Studio cancellations receive a full refund, including the service fee.

Studio Rules

Arrive on time; your session begins at the booked time.
No smoking inside the facility.
Food and drinks in the lounge only.
Personal items are the client’s responsibility.
Treat equipment with care.
Disruptive behavior may end the session without refund.

Recording Ownership

All recordings are your intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Session Route claims no ownership of any musical works.

SESSION ROUTE, LIABILITY WAIVER & SESSION TERMS

Effective Date: September 24, 2026 | Version 1.1

By accepting this waiver, you ("Client") agree to the following terms when booking and attending a recording session through Session Route ("Platform") at any participating studio ("Studio").

1. EQUIPMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Client agrees to treat all studio equipment, instruments, and facilities with reasonable care. Client shall be financially responsible for any damage to studio equipment caused by negligence, misuse, or intentional acts during the session. Normal wear and tear is excluded.

2. STUDIO RULES & CONDUCT
Client agrees to follow all posted studio rules, including but not limited to: no smoking indoors, food and drinks restricted to designated areas, respecting noise ordinances, and following engineer instructions regarding equipment operation. Disruptive behavior may result in session termination without refund.

3. PUNCTUALITY & SCHEDULING
Session time begins at the scheduled start time regardless of arrival. Late arrivals do not extend the session unless the studio explicitly agrees. Your punctuality record is tracked and visible to studios and engineers. Consistently late clients may face booking restrictions.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY
The studio-price portion of an artist cancellation follows the studio's policy shown at checkout. The Session Route service fee is not refunded when Client cancels or misses a confirmed session, except where required by law or expressly approved by Session Route. A studio-initiated cancellation or a session the studio cannot deliver receives a full refund of amounts paid, including the service fee. A failed or duplicate booking charge is released or refunded in full.

5. PAYMENT TERMS
Unless the studio requires full payment, the initial confirmed payment is generally 50% of the studio booking price plus the entire Session Route service fee. The service fee is 5% of the studio booking price, or 3% for an artist with an active qualifying Membership at checkout. Any remaining studio-price balance is collected after the session or settled through an approved cash path. A card authorization alone is not a completed charge. If a balance capture fails, Client has 48 hours to settle before the booking is flagged and future bookings may be restricted.

6. RECORDING OWNERSHIP
All recordings created during the session are the intellectual property of the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing between Client and the Studio or Engineer. Session Route claims no ownership of any musical works.

7. FILE STORAGE & DELIVERY
Session Route stores session recordings uploaded by engineers for Client access. While we take reasonable measures to protect these files, Session Route is not liable for data loss due to technical failures. Clients are encouraged to maintain their own backups.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Session Route acts as a marketplace connecting Clients with Studios and Engineers. Session Route is not liable for the quality of services rendered, equipment malfunctions, interpersonal disputes, or any injuries sustained on studio premises. Maximum liability is limited to the session booking amount.

9. PRIVACY & DATA
Session Route collects booking data, payment information, and usage analytics to operate the platform. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is never sold to third parties.
